For more than 25 years, Beans and Rice has worked to strengthen our community by empowering our neighbors!

Our goal is to improve the lives of low to moderate individuals and families by focusing on food security, family stability, and youth development. Partner with us this year to close the food access gap for kids and pets through our “Kids & Kibble” Campaign! 

We know that often resources fall short for folks, especially those caring for kids and pets. Our food distribution program serves more than 50 households every week, and within the program we provide specific items for kids and pets to help bridge the gap. Families with children receive packs of nutritionally balanced snacks and enrichment activities for the week. Additionally, our neighbors with pets receive a small bag of dog or cat food to support food security for ALL their family members.

In the last year, Beans & Rice worked to close the food access gap by distributing: 

• More than 1200 Healthy Kids Snack Packs, an average of 103 bags per month. Your donation of just $11 provides four children with a week of nutritious snacks and enrichment activities!
• More than 480 small bags of cat and dog food, an average of 40 bags per month. Your donation of just $7 feeds four family pets for a week!
