Blacksburg Master Chorale

About Us 

Blacksburg Master Chorale is one of the rare gems of the New River Valley. It is not so common to have a large (80 to 100 voices) chorus that brings beautifully-performed choral music from the likes of Beethoven and Mozart, as well as lesser known, but no less inspiring, modern composers, to a rural area like the NRV. Our singers feel so fortunate to be able to rehearse under the leadership of accomplished directors and to share exceptional music with local audiences.  

2024-2025 Season

While our 2024-2025 season has not yet been officially announced, we can reveal that the year will be filled with: 

• More powerful music by under-represented composers,
• A collaboration with the Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts at the Moss Arts Center in the spring, and 
• Our usual magical holiday fare, including the annual sing-along fundraiser for the Interfaith Food Pantry.

 Also under our banner is the Blacksburg Children's Chorale. Use the fundraiser link to donate to these young singers. Behind the scenes of all great performances is a myriad of working parts that include the skilled preparation of paid professionals, little-known but necessary operational expenses, and countless volunteer hours above and beyond singing.
