Old Church Gallery Ltd

At an elevation of 3,971 feet, Floyd County's Buffalo Mountain is an enduring challenge and inspiration. From this sketch, discovered in surveyor JS Brown's 1838 notes, to the contemporary works now on display at Old Church Gallery, "The Buffalo" moves us.

The Old Church Gallery is a cultural arts museum that preserves the creative heritage of Floyd County with exhibits, programs, and collections of both physical objects and digitally-archived images, oral histories, and recordings. 

To get a sense of the treasures we hold, please visit us at 110 Wilson Street in Floyd. We are open Fridays from 2:00 to 5:00 and Saturdays 10:00 to 1:00, April through December 20, 2024. In between visits, tour virtually through our website:

Your generosity is gratifying and 2024 donations are earmarked for our building fund.  While visitors are impressed by the depth and breadth of our permanent exhibits, we currently have larger furniture pieces plus more than a hundred coverlets and quilts in storage. The new addition will allow us to share these.
