The Renaissance Music Academy of Virginia (RMA) is the oldest and largest non-profit community music school in southwest Virginia. Founded in 1993, the RMA serves as a center in the region where students of all ages and levels of ability can explore the world of music and reach their highest potential in learning to play an instrument. Lessons are offered in piano, violin, viola, cello, and guitar.

For toddlers, early childhood music classes are offered as an introduction to music. Ensemble opportunities include chamber music, violin group, cello group, guitar group, junior orchestra, and the RMA chamber orchestra. String lessons are taught in the Suzuki method. Students have monthly opportunities to perform in recitals as well as numerous outreach opportunities for performing in the community throughout the year.

Your donation enables us to continue offering learning and performance opportunities for all students. You may designate your gift to our General Fund, our General Scholarship Fund, or the Joe W. Meredith Scholarship Fund, honoring our RMA board member and former President of the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.
