Handmade Music School Fundraiser 2024

The Handmade Music School in Floyd, Virginia needs your help cultivating and strengthening community through experiences in music, dance, art and food rooted in our Appalachian traditions.

The Handmade Music School also provides scholarships for students to participate in lessons, workshops, and camps offered in Floyd, Virginia through our Share the Music Scholarship Fund. Half of the funds raised will go towards student scholarships.

About the Handmade Music School:

The Handmade Music School cultivates and strengthens community through experiences in music, dance, art and food rooted in our Appalachian traditions. We are dedicated to teaching old time, bluegrass, and traditional music and dance from Floyd County, Virginia, and throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains. The philosophy of The Handmade Music School is to “hand down” the songs and dances from the teacher to the student, phrase-by-phrase, and step by step -- the way it’s been taught in the Blue Ridge Mountains for centuries.
