Karen Day’s Plenty! Give Local NRV 2024

Dear Family and Friends,

We still feel a jolt of joy slowing down for the Elephant Curve Road turn. Sighting Plenty! Farm and Food Bank brings wonder, “What’s it like here now?” Shannon has invited us to visit so we drive down the newly paved path to find a sturdy hoop house, new porches, freezers and more. Still warm greetings, still fresh produce, still abundant generosity.

As Executive Director, Shannon Hardwicke is dedicated to feeding hungry neighbors and ending food insecurity. She asked us to get more involved supporting that mission and vision because more people are being fed with more food by Plenty! They’re still delivering fresh produce plus other essentials now. Still showing kids how their food grows. Still offering the dignity of no qualifying requirements except, “We need some food.”

Since covid, volunteers are still scarce, staff and expenses have grown and last year donations were down. June is Give Local NRV and we know you've supported us before. We are also excited to announce that Give Local NRV's early giving period starts on June 1, leading up to the annual Giving Day starting noon June 26 through noon on June 27.   The organization with the most donors wins a prize and we want that to be Plenty! Matt Sebus from OmniBuild is matching every donation up to $25,000!
